10 years of CV parsing to gather candidate data
Reinhold, who was our Managing Director until 2016, entrusted it to the JoinVision team years ago: The actual trigger for the development of our CVlizer was the trainee of a company, which had advertised jobs on our existing online job portal for IT and technology. In 2008, she got into a conversation with him during a lecture by Reinhold at a university in Vienna.

The topic, they only briefly touched on was: the automated collection of applicant data.
Ultimately, it should turn out that this should be the birth hour of our CV parser CVlizer, the benefit was not clear immediately, but the idea is born since that time.
The name also came later, initially it was simply called "JoinVision CV parser" (see picture, in german).
In 2009, specifically at the ITnT in Vienna, 27.-29.1.2009, Hall D, Booth D0505, it was finally time: The CVlizer was first presented to the public and immediately aroused great interest.
Using a software to analyze free-text CVs with the help of semantic criteria, to extract all relevant information and, in a next step, to import directly into an applicant database or into an applicant management system in the DACH area was practically unknown at that time. We saw ourselves as a leader in innovation in this specific sector, others in the following years called us as "Hidden Champion". Also, we could and we still live well with that.
Today, 10 years later, modern efficient recruiting without the automatic processing of the application documents is unthinkable - and in the meantime we have market competitors, who compete with us for the best parser. We see that quite positively, because they do not let us rest, but rather drive us to become even better. Innovation must continue to be part of our DNA. Also, in the next 10 years, we are well prepared for that.
